I am hoping that someone may be able to give advice on my laptop. I use an iPad generally but I needed to get on to my laptop to look for a file. It's been about a year plus since I have used it and was horrified to find 3000 + messages and similar in junk. I may need to keep the odd one or two until I can transfer to folders but could anyone help with how to get rid of the majority of messages quickly without laboriously clicking and highlighting. It is slowing everything down, constantly updating etc. then throwing me out saying error and error for updating latest messages. Sorry loads of text but here's hoping! |

The only way really is to look at a full page at a time, quick check & then delete the whole lot if not needed Barbra |

I'm not an expert, but I don't think you can be selective without looking at them one at a time. You can get rid of the lot, or singly, but no other options. |

I take it you mean an email account that you have not used for some considerable time and never check on your iPad. |

I have managed by hook or by crook to delete my emails. Thank you very much for all the help. I was hoping that it would enable me to accept new emails but a box saying that because of possible prolonged inactivity I am unable to get updated mail! I then decided to go through Yahoo and my nightmare began again with changed passwords etc! I really wish I hadn't bothered to be honest. Thank you again everyone anyway in my first quest. X |
