Are you going to buy yourself an Easter egg or two and which one or one's would it be???

Mine will be made of the darkest chocolate I can find,,,sorry can't remember the make of them..

My favourite is buttons eggs

I neither buy Easter eggs for me, nor for my grandchildren.
I bought them for my children, then realised they were taking up far too much room in my fridge - for months afterwards :-|
I started buying them book tokens - relatives provided the eggs.

I buy book tokens for my grandchildren, now. Last week, my daughter asked if I was giving her children book tokens this year, as 12 year old grand daughter had asked. Apparently, there's a book she wants to buy, so book tokens are very welcome!!
Now Waterstone's has diversified, if one of the grandsons (6 and 5) doesn't want to buy a book, there's Lego and other stuff they can buy instead :-D

.....I may buy myself a bar of chocolate - much more chocolate in that than an Easter egg :-D

I bought an egg & a bunny yesterday, for DH. They are hidden in my wardrobe.

I don't know if he has anything for me......... nothing hidden in his wardrobe (I wasn't searching, I was putting his clothes away).

A Lindt bunny would be lovely........ or I'll eat DH's egg & bunny! ;-)

When you look at how much chocolate you get, you're far better off getting a bar of chocolate ;-)

What do chocolate eggs have to do with easter anyway? :-S

Despite the fact that I am now 30 and my siblings 29 and 24 our parents still buy us an Easter egg they also buy one for my brother in law who is also 30. Mine is usually a galaxy egg.

As well as having the basket of little chocolate bars for the carers, and opening his grotto at Christmas, Fred liked to be Easter Bunny to them as well. (Did that man cost me money!?)

Luckily, with everything going on with him, I had bought no bunnies or eggs last year as he didn't quite make it.

I suppose they could have gone on the coffin with the vegetables!

Easter was originally a Pagan Festival, welcoming spring and rebirth - hence the eggs. Rabbits are a more recent innovation - but they breed quickly!!
Then came Jesus's rising from the dead - another 'rebirth', and the two were conveniently combined.
Easter is also linked to the Jewish Passover

Are you all looking forward to this announcement bound to be issued shortly? It's an annual event!

Great isn't it? People get 4 days off for easter and spend half of it sitting in their cars on the M5. :-S

We have no buses through thr village on Good Friday,Easter Sunday and Easter Monday so all those like myself who don't have a car are kaput..taxi cost £8 to go 5 miles or into Leeds £45 there and £45 return.

Maybe just thumb a lift into Harrogate...but there again better not cos thats the buses that are off..... :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

I bought wine instead of eggs but it's all for grown-ups
