why am i not allowed to see the full certificate where it states parents names and birth palces etc. |

Welcome to the boards Robert. What you see on here are the indices to the records. You can use the information on them to order certificates from the General Register Office. |

Welcome to the board Robert, what you are looking at is the index, you can only see the full details of a cert by buying it, which you can do online from the GRO. |

Make sure to buy the cert from govt General Records Office (GRO). The cost is £ 9.50. There are lots of sites offering to do the job for you for anything from £ 20-50 !!! |
