If someone is entitled to a UK pension, I would probably say that they have a right to vote, as any government chosen can affect how and when they get that pension? eg I am really not impressed that having expected to get my pension at 60 I now have to wait till 66....and by the time I get to 66 (assuming I do) they could well have moved the goalpost again.

However if one is not entitled to a state pension, because one has not lived and worked here, but is only British by birth then I think not...eg my nephew emigrated having contributed only a couple of years of NI and tax, so I would not expect him to have a vote.

Rose I worked and contributed until I was ..well until 11 years ago so Yes I am entitled to a UK pension. Mind like you I am not sure if I will ever see it the way they are moving the goal posts. ...I really must check my Bass Charington pension !

Uzzi do check your private pension, given the changes made a couple of weeks ago you may want to take some or all in cash (if it's the right kind of pension) when you get to 55.

Sometimes we just vote for one heavy yoke to be replaced by another equal in weight or worse.
