Hi, a friend of mine who is midway through a divorce wants to know that if one of her parents die whilst she is stil married to her husband and leaves her a sum of money in their will, does she have to give the husband any of it or can she keep it all in another account for herself? |

Usually an inheritence is excluded as it wasnt generated within the marriage or used as part of any collateral within the marriage,,ie to buy a bigger property that became the main family home. |
