Shirley your post was interesting - If it means they take note and action then it can only be a good thing. I don't think M&S take notice of customer reviews on their own site, I wonder if anyone actually reads them apart from other customers!!

Not sure what your thoughts are on the long ribbon things Phyll, do you mean you like them or you hate them??

Personally, I hate them and the first thing I do is cut them out as I don't want to be one of those ladies you see in shops/restaurants etc totally oblivious to having a long ribbon hanging outside!!

Yes, Lavender I agree the velvet type coathangers are brilliant - nothing, but nothing slips off them ;-)

I've found the best coat hangers Phyll, are the ones covered in that velvety fabric. Nothing slips off them. They sell them quite reasonably priced in bundles of five in pound shops. I find them better than padded ones as they are very flat and take up less wardrobe space. Much needed when I have clothes in my wardrobe across many sizes!

I took part in a Facebook thread with M& S on them using so called larger sized ladies in their advertising . the consensus was they thought a 16 lady modeling was a larger lady

I complained WHY did their larger size summer tops / T shirts have such titchy sleeves as lots of us larger ladies have big upper arms too that we want to cover. Had LOADS of good on yers we agree with you , we want sleeves that flatter and cover our upper arms . the best length seemed to a popular just above the elbow .

M& S did reply and said they hadnt thought of it and would take it on board with their manufacturers. So customer feed back could be what they need

I wonder if any of you would object if I printed this page and enclosed it with my way overdue letter of complaint to M&S head honcho complaining of their awful prickly labels made from recycled razor blades.
Do let me know if you are in agreement, or not, as the case may be. :-0

i bought a top from Asda today with no label, it was printed on the inside of the back material... :-D

How many times have I dressed for the evening or occasion in something new and then exclaimed there would be absolutely no way I could endure said garment for a second longer.

The situation either finds me quickly hauling all my clothes off, messing my make-up and hair in the progress or my husband searching for weeny scissors and glasses in an attempt to cut offending sharp, prickly label out.

Then I'm all impatient as we see if his handiwork has resolved the problem.

It crossed my mind that the Oxfam/M and S scheme that offered a voucher when producing an M and S item of clothing when leaving items for sale in Oxfam shops would soon be coming to an abrupt halt, if it hasn't done so already! How many Marks items of clothing survive the label test I wonder?

Yes, how annoying when having cut the label out, one is left with two little black strips of fabric on a fine white or cream coloured cardigan.

Who are these people that make one's life so uncomfortable??

My mum had a 'Dresser' in her kitchen in the 1950s & it had nothing at all to do with ladies undergarments.

No doubt some on here will have had a 'Dresser' in their home. Very popular they were in Wales too.

Glad I'm not the only one,,,,not many of my clothes have a neck label in,,,,they are out as soon as they are bought.......use a hem unpicker you can get one from a craft shop.

Black print inside a white T shirt.......and it shows through. :-|

Printing on the fabric _ it washes out and fades, I find it hard to work out front and back on my rollneck tops!

Shirley~I,m getting the hang of it - I don't mind unbuckling bras when I'm lucky enough to get the opportunity. But don't ask me anything about sizes.

Anyway, it doesn't really bother me much at that stage of high anticipation.

I don't understand why they put BLACK labels on WHITE garments...... right at the neckline!
