:-(
Very Sorry to hear that lavender.
I might just be lucky .
As I was already doing long distance cycles before my operation . 50/ 60 miles . And I did not have problem with the knee /leg .

Only walking and If I'd tried to jog .I got severe Pain .
also when I was at Physio I was put on a static bike for recovery .
And afterwards I bought one and used It ,to help recovery .

Well Its 4 months since my knee operation .
And I'm doing very well .
I hope this give encouragement to anybody who has Artiritus and Is In pain with knee problems .
And Is struggling to walk and not be able to do the things they used to do .

However there Is a certain amount of pain to go through after the operation. and a lot of medication and pain killers to take.
Also the Physio can be tough and very trying .
But If you want to be pain free and be able to walk again , without limping .

This Is all part and parcel of what you have to go through to achieve that goal .

So all the best .
And thank you all for your Input on this thread
Regards
Anthony

you are lucky indeed - my friend's Dad had a knee replacement April last year - the op was a success but they let him get a pressure sore on his heel and he has never been able to return to his own home and is about to go into a care home - he has a claim in against the health authority for neglect, which is exactly what it was
