Some good news for those who had hoped travel by rail over the Bank Holiday weekend :-) the rail strike planned for Monday & Tuesday next week has been called off :-)

A generator right next to my Grandchildren's school, serving the school, hospital and nearby works, exploded lunchtime today and set the school on fire!

The school was evacuated but everyone is safe. Unfortunately some of year 11 were about to sit an ITC GCSE.

The power is out, and there is smoke damage. But if the children had not had early lunch today, they may have been outside near the generator! It does not bear thinking about!

Grandson 1 has an English Literature GCSE tomorrow at 9am, so I don't know what's going to happen. There is talk about them having to go to a school in another town. That will be very disconcerting. Plus I have to find it!

At least all are safe, that's the main thing! :-) :-) :-)<3

Well folks <3 don't know how your day has turned out ;-) as you planned I hope <3 as for myself I've had a good day ;-) went into my local town for a couple of hours and came home and worked on my family tree ;-) and now I'm going to call it a day on here ;-) as it's that time of day when I need to rest my eyes ;-) after I've done that I'll fix a bite to eat ;-) then watch television until it's time for my bed ;-)
