I'm never annoyed by it because I don't watch it. :-D

The other dog, Chase was actually in the semi finals. The producers knew there were 3 dogs altogether but the judges were not aware. I think it would have been ok if her act had been ???? and her dogs, but because it was ???? And Matisse it was misleading. My thoughts are that it was unfair for Matisse to get all the glory while Chase was not mentioned and it was his/her part of the act that was so clever. Apparently Matisse is not good with heights.

I don't know what should be done about it or anything at all for that matter, Her act apparently beat the magician by only 2% of the votes so I wonder how he feels at the moment - thousands of pounds out of pocket.

I feel that even if the voting public had been aware of Chase, they would still have voted for Matisse

I agree Ann, people love most dog acts, and Matisse was clever in the rest of the act, besides being a beautiful dog.

There should be a separate show for animal antics, thereby giving the human contestants a fair chance on a level playing field to show off what little talent nature bestowed them.

I must say that I am a little disappointed about the dog act, having voted for it!

I saw nothing wrong with Jules using more than one dog, as we already knew she had other dogs, including one like Matisse, in her acts.
But like AnnG said, it should have been Jules and Dogs not Jules and Matisse.

But with the final, the storyline was that Matisse was arrested, and then escaped from the Police Station on the tight rope. This story would not have worked with the knowledge that it was the other dog, Chase, on the tightrope. So that was misleading.

I still think it was a great act! :-)

I'm just not getting why anybody would find a problem with the winning act.

We watched the performance and loved it, people voted because they enjoyed it.

I don't get why it matters how many dogs took part?? And she trained both dogs. Who cares whether the other dog got a mention or not? Does anybody think the dog minds?

Surely we all were just enthralled that Any dog was capable of walking on a tightrope.

It was no different to any other magic act and we all fell for it.

I'm completely dumbfounded that there has been an issue over this and feel so sorry for the poor woman in question. She must be completely devastated to read all this stuff in the press when she should be feeling overjoyed.

She's won a load of money but my heart goes out to her.

I agree, Lavender.
She only used Matisse in her first audition - she didn't know whether she would get through to the second round, so just called herself 'Jules and Matisse'. If she'd called herself 'Jules and Dogs' people would have complained that she only had one dog!!

She openly used Chase in the second round, so why are people surprised? She used her dogs to the best of their abilities. Matisse doesn't like heights, so use Chase - she is, after all, telling stories, not dancing.
The fact that she can train TWO dogs to the ability of Matisse and Chase should be praised. :-D
