A tree had to be felled which grew on parish land. It was cut into logs and various village volunteers were told they could take a barrow load. (There were some who grabbed without permission.) |

Where I live, if we have anything of the slightest value that we don't want, instead of taking it to the tip, we leave it by the front gate and someone will take it. My son asked me to help him take an old cooker to the tip, I said put it out the front, and if it is still there tomorrow I will take it. It lasted about half an hour. |

same here - I had a new dishwasher - put the old one outside the front door - it disappeared shortly afterwards |
