....... FREE ON-LINE JIGSAWS!

Loads of categories of pictures ... animals, castles, waterfalls, countryside, etc.
Thousands of jigsaws!

http://thejigsawpuzzles.com/

For best effect and ease of jiggling the pieces around, go full screen.

Snap :-D

Mind you, OH gets irritated with the 'click' sound when 2 pieces fit together, but I'm not going to turn it off (evil cackle!)

There's a timer at the bottom right handside of page. :-D :-D

So far my record is 18 minutes! :-D

DET,

The click sound is very sound is very satisfying, once you've got used to it!

It used to give me quite a fright at first, particularly when they just happen to click together when you are dragging random pieces to clear them out of your way! :-D :-D :-D

JemimaFawr Report 13 Jun 2015 11:48

100 pieces online is just right for me at the moment Emms! :-D :-D :-D

I like real-life ones too, but only have the patience and space to do the 500 piece ones :-D

I just noticed that the one I just did (link in earlier post) is 150 pieces. So perhaps they do have some with more pieces, Emms :-)

'Emma'

'Emma' Report 13 Jun 2015 11:57

The ones I do go to 252 pieces.
Prefer real life ones myself but hands get painful
trying to pick up and fit pieces.
My favourite puzzles were by Thomas Kinkade, difficult
but beautiful :-D

Thomas Kinkade paintings are fabulous!

I bought a book of postcards of his paintings (not to use as postcards) in Cardiff some years ago.

I have framed some of them and put them on the wall. :-)

YOU CAN GET BIGGER JIGSAWS ON THIS SITE FREE! :-D

From 20 pieces to 500 pieces!

Select your category ie Flowers

Hover your mouse over a picture and a drop down bar appears.

More "cuts" appear and next to this a choice of numbers of pieces.

eg.

I clicked on the category "FLOWERS"

I hovered over the picture "GIFT FLOWERS".

I selected "CLASSIC" on the drop down bar.

A choice of between 20 and 500 pieces appeared.

I clicked on 250 pieces

THIS JIGSAW PICTURE ARREARED

It's the picture you hovered over in a choice of numbers of pieces or special effects ie spiral effect!

SO YOU HAVE EVEN MORE CHOICE!

This is a great website! :-) :-) :-) :-)

I find that 150 pieces is big enough for the monitor screen - does the screen size make any difference, do you think?

JemimaFawr

JemimaFawr Report 13 Jun 2015 14:00

The pieces are just smaller with the higher number of pieces jigsaws I think, Det :-) :-)

Possibly the larger your screen the better. Try a larger one and see! :-)

Only problem for me, is that I get migraine if I do them for too long! :-| :-D

JemimaFawr

JemimaFawr Report 13 Jun 2015 14:12

Det,

I've just compared the Westie Jigsaw in 100 pieces with the same jigsaw in 300 pieces, and then the 500 Pieces. The size of the pieces are smaller.

Not a big problem if you are used to doing online jigsaws, but I'm sticking to the 100 piece ones for now!

Perhaps you will need binoculars for the 500 piece ones :-D :-D :-D

http://jigsawonline.net` is good for smaller puzzles, three new ones (three different sizes) every day - BUT for some weeks now the medium size one has gone mad over sizing, often too big to fit the page. Being smaller these are good for short breaks, as in " I'll just do one before I do the washing up" moments.

Hi Elizabeth :-)

Thankyou for your post. Sometimes smaller puzzles are better when you are pushed for time.

I couldn't get your link to work, but I have found the website by typing your information in.

I wonder if this link will work?

Edited- yes it does. :-)
