One of the most frustrating times in my Fire Service career, was standing on the top of the drill tower in Edmonton fire station watching Alexander Palace going up in flames. Just about every appliance in the division was sent except ours! |

My Dad was a fireman in the war. Fortunately he survived but saw many poor souls that didn't. He never spoke to much of it as some scenes must have been horrific. |
