hello all my lovely friends :-D :-D glorious day here today - off up my son's for lunch taking his mother in law with me - a nice change :-D

Pops onto the thread having done all my shopping ;-) and says Hiya to everyone <3 don't know what it's like elsewhere :-) but it's a scorcher where I am ;-) far too hot for me :-( and I am glad to be back home indoors in the shade :-)

Well folks <3 having spent a couple of hours doing my shopping in gorgeous sunshine ;-)I am going to call it a day and give the old eyes a rest ;-) then I'll fix something to eat ;-) and after I've stuffed my face ;-) I'll sit back and watch the telly until it's time for my bed ;-)

And remember that life is not all about wanting to have more money and possessions ;-) life is also about enjoying what we have :-) for as long as we can :-) especially our loved ones <3

Yes, Mersey - it was scrumptious! Our local chef and his wife provided sandwiches, scones and cakes - his macaroons and coffee eclaires were gorgeous :-D :-D :-D

Well, I was on my best behaviour - I didn't slurp out of me saucer once :-D :-D ;-) ;-)

And I did help with the washing up. :-D

It was actually a think-tank session, to find out what activities retired people would like to see in the village. Somebody even suggested irong lessons for men, would you believe! :-0 ;-)

It was a single bloke who wanted to be able to iron his shirts properly :-D :-D :-D

Most wanted knitting, sewing, art and other crafts, keep fit and walking, reading group, and how to make those yummy cakes :-D :-D
