I always try to park as far away from other cars as possible (don't you love those Mums getting their little cherubs out of the car, while the door edge saws against the one parked next to them) astounding how often I come back to find someone parked next to me with masses of space around! |

The problem these days is car park spaces made for normal sized cars and people choosing to drive huge 4 x 4s which just fit into the spaces. We have a problem because our Merc is two door so needs more space to open wide enough for us to get in and out. |

Parking spaces aren't necessarily getting smaller, but cars are getting wider. |

I bought an Avenger estate once. It was cheap because it had two dented doors which I re-skinned (not very hard really, I managed to do it with supervision). |

If I have to use a space in a carpark because of carpark being full, and I end up between large cars, I take a photo showing tightness of space and including number plates. |

The local smash repair man told us that most of his work is for cars that have been bashed in the local supermarket carpark! :-( |

Three years ago, daughter and her family came to visit, we parked in a certain underground parking lot and went for dinner. We noticed there was a concrete post to the driver's side, dark-coloured car next to the passenger side |
