Your right Gin....Prince is very wary of them but Princess always wants to go and stroke them if we pass one in the street or outside school :-0

Am popping for a shower before the programme...will be about though <3

**Ann** Report 7 Jul 2015 19:50

Yes Fly your right...Alsatians my dad used to say are a one man dog, very protective.

He trained them for years as he was a Police dog handler, there were a couple he had I would not go near....they used to live at home...my poor mum was petrified of one of them :-(

Dogs can be unpredictable - even the most docile pet can turn, especially when they are being protective.
Cats can have their moments, too - Molly certainly lets us know when she's displeased - J used to be a bit scared of her at first (we got her 10 years ago, she used to be our daughter's cat until she got a dog) :-0 ;-)

My sons was a Lab...Rita...lovely dog...he has always been a big animal lover, we bought a second Alsatian some years later and they were inseperable, my daughter returned home from university and she and her brother were messing around with each other in the garden, and the dog mistook the situation thinking my daughter was hurting him....the dog went for her and took a chunk out of her arm and bit her under her breast :-0 :-0 :-0

We had him put down....my poor son understood our reasons but was devasted. The dog had shown no aggression towards anyone before that :-(

I'm dreading my Molly having to be put down. She's 17 years old now, but still very healthy. You hope that they will go in their sleep, but it's not often the case :-(

Rest assured that I will be using a different vet :-|

Fly

Fly Report 7 Jul 2015 19:35

I could not do it Ann :-( our vet came out and took my old Lab away <3

Night Belle <3 <3

How awful Gin...I would be upset as well :-(

We had a lovely Alsatian for 12 years he went to work with OH everyday, he even had his own pass with his photo on to get onto the RAF bases where we had maintenance contracts :-D

We had to have him put down and OH or I could not do it...so OH's dad took him :-(
