It isn't under the Aspidistra pot ? I suppose,
or maybe there is a secret brick, which isn't a brick,(if you know what I mean) hiding a lever that opens everything up?

possibly "open, Says me"(Sesame)

LOL Bob

That's good news ZZzzz.

Its going to work out rather expensive If they can't find the key!
You may ruffled a few feathers, but it's turned out to be for the greater good :-)

Things have calmed down a bit now, I like to think it is because they realise I won't be bullied, although my supervisor was in a fowl mood this morning, I was told it is because he knows now that he can't push me around like he thought he could be able to.
I have found out a few things about the building and he doesn't like what I know, one thing is that there is a key to get in from outside but no one knows where it is so they can't leave me on my own in there at all.

It's a 24/7 building, there is an intercom system so we can see who is outside before we let them in by pressing a button to open the door, sounds a bit cloak and dagger but it's just security really.

I worked in a 9 storey building in London we had three security personel on the front reception and you had to show ID coming into the building

There were two guards too overnight and they changed over at 7 pm

Before the change over each floor would be inspected including the loos and every stair well to make sure no one was still in the building ,two would do the inspection whilst one stayed in then main reception

The front doors were locked at 6 30 so you had to be let out and would be asked if you were the last from your office as they did so

One time I was working very late around 6.45 pm when the security came around doing their check and I was asked to leave soonest. And the guy hung around to make sure I did and talked on his walky talky to check with the guy on the front entrance that I was leaving .this was way before mobile phones

I think its likely that certain keyholders would have access, whereas run of the mill employees may not........

I am often the only person in an empty building, but is of my own doing, I make sure that I always have my mobile with me so I could call for assistance if need be....and if they were not key/code holders then I would have to explain the access procedure.............

We've worked out a plan of action ;-)

Although the building is manned 24/7, Liz does have a point. How did the first person get in there? ZZzzz is going to investigate..

If the building cannot be accessed from outside, how do you get into it?

Sounds as tho ' they ' are trying to get rid of you but it seems totally unreasonable, as you say you can do the job well.

Good luck

It seems inconceivable that there isn't some sort of emergency over-ride, unless there is a negative air-pressure to guard against escaping environmental hazards.

Do you want to PM me? OH may remember something about the safety systems and over-rides.

It gets worse. Part of my job is that I am in radio contact with colegues on a fairly regular basis, my problem is that if they need to come in and see if I am ok I have to let them in.
Sounds like I am making it up but I assure you I am not.
