Allowing them their own space and time is always better than entrapment <3 <3

I caught Desmond in a trap.

It was after a long time of him thinking hard about whether he should come in or not and, after I had made his mind up for him, we were both delighted.

It's good they've come in together - maybe that's the problem. One won't come without the other <3

My cats aren't like that. They're siblings, but insist on sleeping in different rooms, though, occasionally the 2 boys will sleep at opposite ends of my bed. They've never cuddled up to each other, either.
Maybe they're too secure.
The most affection they show each other is a quick lick whilst waiting to be fed - usually after sniffing each others' rear ends!!! :-(
I thought it was only dogs that did that! All the cats I've had, these are the only ones to do it.
I suppose on the plus side, they don't fight, though George will 'try' them and jump on one or the other whilst they're sleeping/relaxing/minding their own business.
George will get a massive spit and shriek from Betty, and a swift clawing from Mister - which does leave scratches, as Mister has non-retractable claws. :-(

Black Pussy has been in the kitchen and had a good look around.

They have been back together two or three times this evening and I am going to leave the back door open tonight (it is good for a burglar to know disappointment occasionally!) in the hope of finding then still in in the morning.

Well, they were not here this morning and neither was the meat and biscuits we left for them.

Last night I had the impression they were carrying clip-boards and inspecting to see if the premises were suitable for them.

OH is going into Pets At Home today to buy two of those igloo cat beds, just in case we might be deemed suitable. They have evidently been looking for a place to rest and the space under the cupboard where the tabby went when it was in is not quite luxurious enough.

The two who came in to inspect were not the tabby and the black cats, they were two tabby cats.

Last night the black one came as far as the front room door.

That is the one I have really wanted to entice in but, if the other two would like to live here they will be very welcomed.

Sharron,

i don't like cats much and i am honest about it, but there are 4 male contenders in my garden every day using it as a toilet and spraying everywhere be cause the idiot 2 doors up has 3 dogs and several cats which also use my garden as a toilet.
please could you come and take some of these , they look at me so pleadingly when i go out..i am sure they would love to be fed and have new homes.

i keep the doors shut because they try to come in

I like all animals except Mice
and not to keep on cage birds :-D

I have found the only way to keep mine out of our bed
is to sprinkle myself with Oil of Albas ;-)

Things are looking up. They have taken to coming in in daylight, only to eat me out of house and home of course, but they are happy to be seen.

The black one had a bit of a shufty in the wet room too.

Sharron

Sharron Report 6 Aug 2015 23:32

I think they will make me sit with the back door wide open all evening as far into the winter as they can.

Can't wait to see what my kitchen looks like with a snowdrift in it!
