Shirley mentioned that her OH held on to the shower-head bracket.

If anyone else is tempted to do the same, please, please check that it is well and truely screwed into the wall.
There's nothing more embarrasing having to admit to your loving spouse/carers that "It came off in me 'and Gov' "
:-D

Like Maggie I don't worry by the time my feet have had the soap and water from the rest of me over them they seem fine!
I guess if you wear sandles or open toe shoes without socks or stockings you might need a bit more scrubbing though, I guess one of these might help.

I suppose I could get one of the young ladies I employ to sponge me down and provide a relieving massage to scrub them for me if I wanted to! ;-) ;-)

hubby who has very poor balance holds onto the bar that the shower head is on to hold up each foot in turn to clean between each toe ,He doesn't get dirty feet cos he always has footwear on BUT he does like to make sure in between the toes don't get sweaty and cause problems.

I on the other hand just shower ,even though I walk around bare footed I don't get dirty underneath. BUT if I have been doing a dirty wash in the garden with the hose and the feet look a bit manky then the bidet is good place to wash em lol

We have a grab rail, our shower is in the bath. Our shower mat has sort of rubber bristles over it, they scrub your feet.

I use a long handled net bath sponge and hold onto a suction handrail on the wall. The hand rail wouldn't take my weight if I tried to pull myself up with it but it is fine to steady yourself.

I also use an old fashioned rubber bath mat so I don't slip.

I started using all of this lot after I had my knees replaced and didn't feel very steady.

Ummm, I don't wash the bottom of my feet. The water disappears so slowly, the soles are usually cleaned by the puddle!

If you're in the shower and you had poor balance, how do you wash the bottom of your feet without falling over? I sat down but then I have a trouble time getting up again, so I was just wondering if there was a better way.
