What's the Law on this? We've never had a Monarch who has divorced then married a divorcee before. At least, I don't think so. Henry VIII's marriages were annulled.

A title such as King's Consort would acknowledge her importance as Charles' help-mate, but also recognise that she wasn't his first wife 'In the sight of God, until death do us part' and all that.

In my mind, it all gets tangled up in Established (CoE) Church Doctrine. The Monarch is supposed to be 'Defender of the Faith' and is the secular head of the CoE.

i cannot imagine Charles ever being king he is so underhand and out of touch with the real world.

If the crown passed direct to William then the issue of Camilla will not be raised.
William is much more suited to the throne than Charles :-D
