Well, what a wonderful Final this year! I wanted Jay to win and I'm glad he did. I don't think Aliona did him any favours with their show dance though and I was very underwhelmed by it although he danced it well. I think their jive would have been better than their Charleston too especially as Georgia was doing a very good Charleston. I thought that white outfit he wore looked like something snatched out of the ragbag and with his looks and build you would have thought they would have put him in something more flattering. I just love his posture and natural fluidity and reserve. So many of the previous male sports celebs have been wooden and seemed more posing for the camera than with their partners.

Having said that all credit to the girls who ramped up their performances and would have been worthy winners too. Georgia's Rumba was good and Kellie's show dance looked exhausting!!

Thanks for starting the thread MTG and a Merry Christmas to you and everyone else!!! <3 <3

Incoming from hayley........

Another year over Jay for me isn't a worthy winner there were better more improved dancers than him. Like Tabitha I do not like Alioni at all. Did she go wrong on the quick step it certainly look like her fault and well done Bruno for mentioning it. There show dance was very boring I stared at the TV afterwards said is that it? The did improve the paso clearly has a massive fan base but for me isn't that good.

Georgia rumba was lovey so much improved and her show dance was very brave and her Charleston a dream she really deserved to win. Kellie danced her socks off she gets on my wires but her dancers were absolutely faultless I don't think she could of done anymore. Katie I am glad they went out fist should never of made the final Craig was correct she certainly was not in the same league as the other dancers and if I had to watch her and Anton do one more flipping pivet I think I would of screamed the house done. Until next year .... MTG I am still keeping the faith trying to get to as many Soul doos as I can lol May I wish you all a very merry Christmas and a very prospers 2016 xx

Well that has restored my faith in the show!

I am very pleased that Jay won, although personally I thought Georgia was the better dancer on the night and maybe should have won.

For all the publicity during the week for Kellie, I thought she might have won, but the public thought differently.

I thought that Anton looked like a rabbit caught in the headlights when he was voted out. Maybe he thought it might be his year. Sadly not.

Can I say a big THANK YOU to all the ladies and gents who contributed to this thread, and we can do it all again next September.

Don't put your spangly shoes away just yet, and KEEP DANCING!!!

well I love the show -life will be a bit dull without it now

Tabitha Report 20 Dec 2015 05:46

Very pleased for Jay but don't like Aliona, its about time someone else had a chance to be a winner. Its always the same old suspects that get through or allowed to get so far.

Said it last year too

Still not sure if I will keep watching - depends on who they drag out this time.

Happy Christmas to all on this thread

Would have preferred Georgia to win. but Jay was also one of my favourites, do sm not too disappointed.

Was Jay in tears when everyone crowded around and congratulated him? I thought that I saw tears in his eyes but not positive.

Earlier in the evening I was amused when Georgia was delighted by Craig saying that he would love to put her in one of his shows. Claudia said. "but have you seen them? You need to see one before ....mutter, mutter unintelligible..". Or words to that effect.

Both Kellie and Georgia. have now got something extra to add to their c.v.s. Perhaps Georgia will become an actress in the theatre now!

For me it was a close call between Georgia and Jay.

Pleased with the result though :-)

Ann
Georgia and Giovanni got my votes as well but I'm pleased that Jay won :-D :-D :-D

AnnCardiff

AnnCardiff Report 19 Dec 2015 22:12

well Jay won - very close to call and although I wanted him to win as the last male celeb left standing, I really think it should have been Georgia and Giovanni

Tabitha

Tabitha Report 19 Dec 2015 21:06

What a shame - forgone conclusion

Anton is out probably the last chance he had

Well off to bed now

AnnCardiff

AnnCardiff Report 19 Dec 2015 20:19

I reckon Katie and Anton will be out - I'm sure if you smacked Katie in the chops she'd smile and say "thank you" :-D

although Kellie and Kevin came out tops scores wise I want Jay to win - voted for him four times

initially attempted to dial on the Sky remote and wonder what had happened to the TV!!! not the first time I've done that :-S

MotownGal

MotownGal Report 19 Dec 2015 20:10

Well half-way through, and it looks like odds on that Kellie will win.

Never ones to under-act, we had the screaming and the falling on the floor.

there is a big piece in the DM today about Anton and Katie. Apparently his birth name is Tony Beck (Or Bek not sure now of the spelling). Mother is Spanish and father was Hungarian.

FINAL TONIGHT!!!!!

I know who I want to win.

But I think I know who will win!!!

MotownGal Report 16 Dec 2015 14:13

Apparently Anton and Katie were on a radio breakfast show yesterday, saying that there was no truth in the rumour they were kept in the show.

Why were they wheeled out?

'Emma' Report 16 Dec 2015 11:24

Been reported that Ola will return for the final appearance
this weekend after a three week ban for speaking out.

TV sources at the BBC took Ola's claims seriously and
promised to check them out before the next series.

I would have loved to see Gleb choreograph a show dance after the Salsa routine

Normally i hate the Salsa - that & the samba are awful & really boring but this one was good & interesting bit like a Charleston

Didn't think Len would like it

I liked the way Bruno changed his mind about the Waltz - looking at the review they recon they would have given them a 10 for the waltz on the dance off as it was near perfect that time.

I think the finial will be a mixed bag - depends if the nerves kick in on the night - not sure of the actual procedure - but I think they all do 1 or 2 dances in the first half & someone is voted off & don't dance in the finial part .

This time its all public votes - so anyone can win & its not up to the judges - they just vote for fun

Depends who the public really like

Annx Report 14 Dec 2015 20:05

I was shocked that Anita went as she's consistently good unlike Katie, but of course it's what happens 'on the night' that counts and Anita's brilliantly brave dance was let down by the choreography. I think Kellie's acting experience gave her the edge too with the oom pa pa dance as it was more like what you'd see in a stage musical.

It will be interesting to see the dances they do next week but it's been Jay all the way for me and still is.

AnnCardiff

AnnCardiff Report 14 Dec 2015 17:22

as the last male celeb standing, I hope Jay wins :-D
