No Jackman doesn't do it for me, very average.

Little Cosette is good, and Helena B C is nicely nuanced :-)

Not for me. Its far to long. And the 'singing' is only average.

Got forced to watch it at the cinema and just got bored.

Russel Crowe was the weak link in the film unfortunately. He didn't have the voice for the part.

Funny, I was pleasantly surprised by Russell Crowe, having read the reviews i was expecting to be appalled lol, no he can't sing 'Stars' anywhere close to Philip Quast...but he made a good go of it after all.

to me, whether they can sing or not is immaterial, the actual music and the songs are brill, as is the acting - no wonder they call it Les Mis - it's gut wrenching :-D

Interpretation can take the place of singing ability it's true...but if you haven't got the latter you need the former 'in spades'..it's enlightening to see who has it and who doesn't.

OMG - pass the razor blades - sniff, sniff - I'm wrung out - rarely cry in films, particularly on TV, but that gets me every time - so emotional -

I think, having see it so many times at the theatre and always Javert had a fantastic voice, plus of course the Dream team, we were disappointed in RC's rendition of Stars.
