Rambling Report 25 Aug 2015 23:10

a non-serious thread that anyone can add to perhaps.

A few weeks ago on a repeat of NCIS, I smiled at the following exchange

Agent Kate Todd: "Gibbs? What did Ducky look like when he was younger?"
Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs: [straight-faced] " Illya Kuryakin."

When I was young Illya Kuryakin in 'The Man from Uncle'( actor David McCallum, Ducky in NCIS to explain the quote ) was my heart throb :-D

Other's along the way were Richard Widmark ( he always died well in films lol), Yul Brynner, Newman, the young Brando...

Just reading the review for Benedict Cumberbatch as Hamlet, I believe he stirs the hearts of a few of his fans ;-)

So who was your heart throb back in the day, and do you have one now that makes your heart go pitter pat? ;-) ...and have your tastes changed much in the intervening years?

LaGooner Report 25 Aug 2015 23:16

I also liked David McCallum, as Illya Kuryakin and Little Joe

I fell head over heels for Gregory Peck in Dual in the Sun .

Also loved Glenn Ford . When me and hubby were courting, see how old we are lol , we went to the pictures twice a week and if any Glenn Ford films were on hubby would say "guess we have to go and see your heat throb" . Wonder if he was a bit put out !!

I liked all the Cartwrights in Bonanza.

I am a bit partial to Brian Turner in the chef line.

Jeremy Keeling from Monkey World has a certain appeal ( talk to me like you do that bloody orang!).
