The pie and mash shop shown in Derek Jacobi's WDYTYA, Manzi's, in Walthamstow, my cousin used to work in. The silk weaver's house in Spitalfields, is Dennis Severs' House, 18 Folgate St., E1 6BX. It is open to the public, and well worth a visit. Google it for opening times. Some of my ancestors were silk weavers in the area, but I haven't found a connection to the Huegenots. |

Thanks for the info Bob. My relatives came from Spitalfields as well and worked in the silk industry but I have hit a brick wall with this line. :-( |
