Dermot

Dermot Report 31 Aug 2015 22:31

Here is a news summary especially for Lynda!

Ashley Madison, whoever he is, got caught up in a Net. Something to do with adultery or the like. There is no such thing as privacy anymore.

And the House of Lords have been packed to the rafters with a bunch of worn-out new Peers - not all of them 100% honest in the past with regard to dodgy expenses claims.

There is a branch of the Ulster Orange Order in Ghana - so there is. Radio 4 never tells fibs even on 1st April.

Paul O'Grady was asked to recite 'three Hail Marys' for a slip of the tongue during Cilla Black's funeral service. All good Catholics - and they are indeed all very good too - will understand the meaning of Paul's penance.

Pope Francis is off to America. There will be an excess of guns on show during his Papal visit, exceeded only by the number of Rosary Beads being fervently used.

And finally, Jeremy Corbyn is set to win the Labour Leadership contest despite every other candidate & their busy-body cohorts raking up the mud of confusion, propaganda & falsehoods. One would think he was Goebbel's understudy. He isn’t - is he?

Don't forget to adopt a refugee. Two for the price of one. Just tip generously any lorry driver.

Lynda ~

Lynda ~ Report 31 Aug 2015 22:48

Thanks for the updates Dermot ! I went to the House of Lords last week, but they were on holiday, so I didn't see any Lords there. I am considering working with refugees, but not paying any lorry drivers for the priveledge. As for Jeremy Corbyn and the Pope, are they related? :-)

Hi Lynda......

Bobtanian Report 1 Sep 2015 10:22

Dermot,
given TB's reputation, I think his warnings about Corbyn are a mis information ploy, designed to push the vote TOWARDS Corbyn....... he got it wrong about Saddamm's W's MD.....if you recall

Kense

Kense Report 1 Sep 2015 11:42

The idea is to get Corbyn elected as leader so there a period where Labour is unelectable. Then he can be replaced by a New Labourite leader who will the have a massive landslide victory in the following general election just like in '97.

The other three are too mediocre to inspire the rest of the electorate to vote for a strong Labour government but would be harder to replace as leader.

Dermot

Dermot Report 1 Sep 2015 12:36

Alas! Elections are mere cosmetic exercises in musical chairs. You are simply replacing the faces, yet the music remains the same.

Waiting for political messiahs to save us is futile. Give the long-suffering UK citizens a break.

PatinCyprus

PatinCyprus Report 1 Sep 2015 13:12

Well we did get invaded by ET and his mates.

They arrived just off Greece and got confused as they were put in naval boats and taken to an island. They got moved on eventually.

They ended up in Germany and decided to hop on a train to get to UK but got caught up with a strike in Calais and there was a lot of arguments and people with cameras wanting to talk to someone. Not wanting publicity they went back and decided to go to Turkey and wandered through and slipped into Syria.

Phoned home very quickly and were taken back to their starship, decided it wasn't a healthy planet for them. Other than that every thing much the same, nothing much ever happens. :-(
