I bet he will be pleased that he is coming home.
I agree that you must get all the help...it isn't easy as I know from experience, but like you I couldn't leave my husband in care and sometimes you have things to do that you're not trained for,but it's amazing how you cope.
Thinking of you Shirley.

So glad to hear you will be having your husband back home Shirley.

He will be much more relaxed in familiar surroundings and having you there with him.

Yes, accept all the help offered. You'll soon work out what you don't need. Hubby will be much more relaxed (once he gets used to the extra people), but he'll be at home. Don't forget to take care of yourself, and make sure the help is organized so you can have some 'me' time! :-)

Shirley, I am sorry the hospital stay has caused your poor hubby to become more dependent on care but hope once he is home he might improve a bit. It's great that you have care packages set up and I hope your friends and family will support you well too.

You might not have much time to come on here but try and keep in touch and feel free to offload to us when you need to.

Will be thinking of you

Dear Shirley.
I am sorry you and your husband have been having a hard time. You will be pleased to have him home again as he will be pleased to be home with you. As others have said, do take all the help you can . Maybe someone to sit with your hubby if you have to pop out for a little while even if it is just for a coffee and chat with a friend would be nice for you. I do think the baby alarm is a good idea. My Dad had one for my Mum.
Take care
Sylvia xx

Thank you all

Hopefully I can get on here often as I usually am on my I pad not the PC so sit downstairs in the recliner . If I am not running around too much then I can still relax and do this .

:-)

Take some rest when you can, Shirley, and let things settle. Try not to stress the small stuff.

Shirley, I hope that everything has calmed down now so that your husband is able to relax and feel safe at home in familiar surroundings. I do hope that the care package is working out well enough to support the two of you. Try to get some rest if you can. xxx

My best wishes to you Shirley.....it is a blessing to have him home, but remember to have some time for yourself too.

The dementia road is a rough one to travel, but hand in hand you will be a great comfort to each other <3 <3

Well he isn't home yet .,

They move so slowly and just when you think it's all going smoothly then they say no he needs yet another professional involved ie he needs a care manger but no one had done anything about it .

I got a bit annoyed with them and then they suddenly got themselves moving and the bed was delivered and installed in the lounge yesterday so he can be in a bigger surrounding and look out into the garden . All of a sudden they are saying he is well and needs to come home ASAP because the longer he is in hospital the danger of him picking up an infection. Well that's what we have been pushing for for two plus weeks now .

So hopefully some time next week he will be home
