	What a bloomin' storm in a Yorkshire teacup! He clearly said it in private and as a joke whilst rehearsing for a speech. One hears/reads far worse things on here! It is always interesting to note that some "oop north" think that people "dahn sarfff" have a public school education, privileges and earn millions. A deep fried chip on the shoulder methinks.

	I thought the Pope was God - according to many "believers". Pious X said that the Pope represents Jesus Christ Himself.

	I don't understand why it is not ok for DC to make a 'joke' about Yorkshire people, but ok to suggest that men from Yorkshire have more grit or that people from Yorkshire are somehow nicer or more blessed than southerners? :-S

	I seem to remember reading an article a couple of years ago. Call centres were favoured to be based in Yorkshire due to the friendly manner and accent

	I get plagued by 'phone calls from scouse call centres by people who think they are being businesslike and do not realise that they come across as the north west equivalent of Delboy. When will these companies realise?
