Thankyou Sue, I have had a quick google and sent a message to a Wirral history group, also found out via National Archives that the Wallasey News archives are held in Birkenhead, so I might have to make a visit which would be no hardship :-) I was thinking about going up to Chester next month anyway. |

Liverpool were runners up in the 49-50 Cup Final but the matches were played at Wembley not Wallasey........lol |

I've just been looking through old photos of my dad, and one of them is I'm sure taken at the Wallasey news that he worked at with his brother, from their apparent ages in the photo I'd say it was taken about 1948/9/50 ish. |
