Teddy is somewhere in the loft. OH's Teddy still lives at his parents house, on their spare bed! Both are 'fred-bear' and filled with sawdust. What with the filling and detachable eyes, they probably wouldn't be allowed anywhere near the next generation!! |

I do remember having a teddy, which I had to share with my brother. :-( |

My Teddy was brought by Santa for my first Christmas (1953) and he, too, is stuffed with straw and is threadbare. |

I'm pleased that some of you saw the joke, but I'm also pleased that what started out as an attempt at humour, has actually developed into a very interesting thread :-D :-D :-D |

Going off the subject of Teddies I have a Trainning chair that my g grandfather made for my granny and her siblings and has been passed down to my dad and his sibling and to cousins. I passed it on to my eldest daughter but her youngest poked holes in the horse filled seat I was really angry took home and had it restored and its stayed with me ever since :-( :-D |

I had a old teddy that was handed down from my uncle, then my sister, then my brother and then me. He had no fur, no eyes but Mum put felt ones on :-D I don't remember him being very soft oh he had no name. Just Teddy. |

still got mine - he's 79 years old!! and had the honour of being in an exhibition in the museum in Cardiff along with a photo of me with him in my doll's pram - he's sitting across the room from me as we speak - very threadbare but so loved. There was a dog breeding kennels opposite our cottage when I was little and they bred dachshunds, so everything they did to the dogs I did to Ted - that's why he got rather messed up :-D |
