I was awake St around 1.45 could see the moon from my bedroom window. (If I got close to the window and looked up high). Then slept till ,4. am. Couldn't see the moon at all from bed room window, even though the stars were bright.
I thought that it might have been all over and as I was very sleepy I didn't trapse down to the end of my back garden where I might have been able to see it. I guess I'll have to try my luck in 2033.

I got a snap of it when it was red, it moved from being visible from the rear garden to me having to go out front to get the last pics.

Hope I will be about for the next one, lol in October 8th, 2033 I will be 86!

While I was looking at the blood moon, I saw a plane pass over it, what a fantastic view that must of been, bet some great pictures were taken.

Very orangey red here, quite spooky.

SylviaInCanada

SylviaInCanada Report 28 Sep 2015 16:17

It was actually much darker than I anticipated, so it was very hard to see the shadowed part against the dark sky, but the exposed sliver was very bright.

The colour was more like a very very dark red rather than the orangey red all the media was saying to expect

Didn't see a blooming thing other than clouds in Toronto !!

Looked at the moon about 01:40 when it could have been a bit squashed. On the other hand that might have been the angle of vision through double-glazing
At 03:35 the sky was cloudy :-(

Congratulations to everyone who had a view.

Saw some of it, all dark to the shadow beginning to move away and the light coming back to a sliver of the moon. Too tired to watch any longer. Have had daylight for some time now.

We've just been out trying to take photos of it ................ the full eclipse is past, and a sliver of moon was showing as the shadow moved away.

Fantastic!

I went out a little while ago but there was a lot of fast moving cloud so didn't get a very good picture. Will pop out again later

I usually have a three o'clock wee too Ann. AllI have to do is open my eyes and remember to look out of the window.
Ann if you DO wake as usual could you send 'get out of bed' vibes my way please.
I will do the same for you.

SylviaInCanada

SylviaInCanada Report 27 Sep 2015 21:30

it's going to start at around 7 pm here ............ when it will still be light.

I think it will be dark by about 7:25 pm or so, so hopefully we'll see some of the Blood Moon ............ I heard someone say this morning that it will last about 70 minutes.
