you feel sorry for him Island? I feel sorry for his wife or whoever lives with him, or lives next door to him - I know where I'd like to shove a bunch of carrots and it ain't in a stew :-D

Regardless of the precise measurement of 'incursion of personal space' the chap shouldn't have pushed her then assaulted her.

He remains, in my opinion, an utter bully.

Island

Island Report 15 Oct 2015 11:29

WHOOOOOOOSH....................

and like the hand that reached for carrots, it flew straight past :-0

:-P back atcha

Guinevere

Guinevere Report 15 Oct 2015 06:22

Shame that bloke didn't do the same.

It's not queue jumping to fill a bag with carrots, there's always room for a couple of people to reach them. Unless one idiot is deliberately trying to be obstructive. As in this case, it seems.

*sticks mitts in pockets* :-P

Island Report 14 Oct 2015 22:56

I really feel for the guy. I hate it when anyone reaches across me in the supermarket and don't get me started on the space invaders in the queue ramming their oofin' trolleys in my back - I've done many a swift backwards thrust in that situation.

It would have been carrots at dawn if Ms Pushy had forced her mitts into my air space..

Sharron Report 14 Oct 2015 21:23

Oh no. Not again.

Bobtanian

Bobtanian Report 14 Oct 2015 20:09

I was referring to the "jumping the queue thing," if there was one

not the pushing and shoving......

"after all these years of womens' rights and fight for equality, they don't like it when being treated like a man......."

Being hit isn't being treated like a man, is it? OH has managed to go through life without being randomly assaulted in Tesco. Or anywhere. Civilised people don't hit other people, male or female.

Fancy crutches, SuperC. Watch out in case carrot man takes a shine to them.

You see!

He could well have been protecting his own Rhinestones!

supercrutch

supercrutch Report 14 Oct 2015 15:52

Oh me too, when someone is walking towards me, they stop dead and expect me to walk around them to pass. Not exactly easy using crutches so I usually stand my ground and just look at them ;-)

I have been sorely tempted to thwack them around the legs but I might knock the rhinestones off my crutches :-(

Sharron

Sharron Report 14 Oct 2015 15:32

Don't know. I wasn't there.

There is usually somebody I want to inflict harm upon when I am shopping but I haven't ever done so.

supercrutch

supercrutch Report 14 Oct 2015 15:21

He pushed her in self defence? defence of what? her reaching around or across him?

He needs anger management treatment.

Sharron

Sharron Report 14 Oct 2015 15:07

I read it and she said she thought he had been following her.

It was probably one of those niggly little situations that get out of hand. Was she, maybe, a little paranoid too?

Ooo dat wabbit! :-D

I can only judge on the evidence presented.........

JoyLouise

JoyLouise Report 13 Oct 2015 20:48

Read all about it Bob. Apparently, he was strange before they both got to the carrot counter. There are CCTVs around and the judge would have had all the evidence because rarely are those stores empty of people.

I thought that lady displayed an enormous amount of self-control. He ought to count himself lucky he didn't do it to someone who would automatically retaliate immediately. Or a man even (but then he may never do that).

Carrots at dawn takes on a whole new meaning.

Sylvia

Sylvia Report 13 Oct 2015 20:44

I would think Ms Mann upon receiving her compensation will be having her carrots delivered.

Bobtanian

Bobtanian Report 13 Oct 2015 20:20

I guess that the "lady" ...........ooops Ms........wasn't around during wartime, and hadn't learned the gentle art of forming a queue

ps

after all these years of womens' rights and fight for equality, they don't like it when being treated like a man.......
