had mine about a month ago - no after effects - however, last year's flu jab was totally ineffective as I had really bad bouts of flu in the December and then again last August

I know all the blurb about no bugs etc in the flu jabs. Doctors persuaded me to get them, but I always got sick, some years I would get an awful cold/flu that would last for months.

Four years ago I said NO MORE! I haven't had a flu jab since, and the worst I've had is a sniffle for a few days.

Not had anything after mine this year last year arm was really sore and heavy for a week. Dont think Lissy has had a problem either.

Strange how it affects some and not others nothing as strange as folk .

Don't forget to also ask for a pneumonia jab
If you haven't already had one

Its a one off jab

But could save your life :-D :-D

It all seems to depend on which strain they choose to include which means it can be a bit hit and miss.

Last year's vaccine turned out to be virtually useless as it was only found to protect 3% of those given it. In most years they hope it will protect up to 50%.

The pneumonia jab is I think just against infection - virus? bacteria? well worth having of course.I had it, but later got it because of a throat infection blocking everything up, intensive care for ten days or so!
