Tootsie is great, thanks for the reminder I will dig it out and watch it ( video !) I saw it with Aussie friends when it first came out, fun evening followed by them singing Waltzing Matilda on the train home :-D |

I'm with you Jemima. Tootsie is a favourite of mine too. For anyone who hasn't seen it, don't switch off after the first few minutes thinking it's not for you. The first bit is really just setting up the background to the story. |

Brief encounter and The Bridges of Madison County are both favourites of mine. But I am soft and love films like White Christmas and High society. Then there is On Golden Pond. And how about Cary Grant in Houseboat. Carousel as well. Just realised they are all old ones lol! |
