as I just found out!! I was changing the bedding a while ago - a job I hate, as OH and I always did it together, but now I'm on my own I find it a bit of a hassle

Put the sheet on first of course, then the pillow cases and went to get the duvet cover when I caught my foot in the electric blanket cable and went **** over tip, landing flat out on the floor - twisted my ankle in the process - whoever said more accidents happen in the home was dead right :-D :-D

Oh that's really bad very painful join the bench. Big ouch.
You could have snuffed it and the last thing we need round here is to lose somebody who makes interesting posts.

I agree with your OH electric blankets are very dangerous esp the wires.

I am going to see the physio in the morning.
Maybe you are expert in ice and strapping up but these guys can usually get things fixed faster. Johny Walker can be quite helpful too.

Ouch! A friend's mum did almost exactly the same during the summer and broke her shoulder. So many accidents happen in the home. :-(

Hope all is well soon. x

hi there all!! I'm fine thanks - ankle and foot a bit sore but nothing too much - had enormous trouble sleeping, got up around 2:00 pm and went back around 4:00 and fell asleep until 10.15

Rollo would not have said anything nasty I'm sure

easiest way ever to put on a duvet cover,i was shown how by a friend some years ago,
turn the cover inside out,put your arms inside, grab the corners of the duvet firmly, then shake the cover back to the right side, still holding on,then shake until duvet fully covered..
works for me, no more back ache ,swearing ,
hope this helps.
