Just having lunch after drying off a bit . It keeps raining then stopping here and I did not manage to dodge the shower.

Not doing too much this after. May look at my ironing then shout at it to do itself :-D. You all seem too good. I only iron a thing off the pile as I need it BUT every now and then iron a few items while I watch to see what's going on outside as I'm a sticky beak at heart.

I was slightly amused yesterday as I watched on TV the arrival of the Egyptian President in Downing Street.

Red carpet treatment - the Downing Street lackeys rolled out a piece of well-worn & dog-end carpet, probably a bit that was left over when the PM’s private apartment was updated by the late Mrs Thatcher many years ago.

But the funny bit really refers to the dead leaves that lay strewn along Downing Street & on the steps to No.10 itself. A yard-brush could not to be found, obviously.

It wouldn't have surprised me if the blustering Andrew Mitchell (him of Plebgate fame) attempted once again to negotiate his bicycle through the wrong wrought iron gate.

I was up and out by 8.30 this morning, did my accountants visit then the bank and post.

Then toddled off to the posh garden centre near Chester, it was like Winter
wonderland in there....some really lovely Xmas decorations and lots of other goodies

I went in the cafe and had cappuccino and cake..unfortunately I seated myself close to the most acid tongued pair of women.....I felt like standing up and slapping them :-0 :-0 :-0

No Joy...it's called the Grosvenor a few miles from Chester...they always have some lovely gifts etc in there and nice cake in the cafe :-D :-D
