Shirley, so sorry you have had a bad day. As you know my dad died in Feb and my poor mum has been to hell and back with the bank. Only just been sorted out 3 weeks ago. She had no money wha'ts so ever and lived on her credit card to survive but no direct debits were paid. They had frozen the bank account even though she had given them all the paper work back in March. Her pension was still going in though. Thinking of you Shirley and take one day at a time xx Grannie Annie |

it's awful - been there - done it - mostly on auto pilot - didn't hit the snags you're hitting but my biggest problem was with the TV licence which was in Lawrence's name - I asked to change it to mine and they demanded a death certificate!! I went absolutely ballistic - told them that loads of people didn't even bother to get a licence and now way was I giving them a death certificate - so they changed it to my name |

Sorry that you have had so much trouble - at least switching hasn't been as bad as some reported in the press. The provider wouldn't cancel the account until they'd spoken to the account holder. Um - he'd died? |

To send flowers I go onto the computer and find a florist in the area I want to send and order online. Sometimes they are so close to where you want the flowers to go you don't get a delivery charge. |

Detective, Mum has had everything reimbursed and £100 compensation. Mum never told us she was having trouble. She was using her credit card to get by and using my dads cash that he had left to pay the card. But all her direct debits were not being paid. When she told us my brother took her to the bank and took control.xx |
