gets my goat.

There is currently one running where the little girl refuses to eat the sprouts on her plate and actually gets away with not eating them :-| :-|

Last Christmas, granddaughter who was 18 months old said "I don't like the green balls" and promptly put them on her Father's plate and he said "give them to your Mother".

We then had to persuade her that they tasted nice and she had eaten them before.

If she catches sight of that particular advert we are sunk as this Christmas at 2 and a 1/2 she is a lot more aware of logic in arguments and I'm pretty sure that ad will be her 'get out of jail' card.

TV has a lot to answer for.

Oh and I heard that those blasted Teletubbies are returning.......expect all children to speak in tongues again

:-P

Last Christmas, my elder daughter made a 'festive' pizza for her children - with sprouts on top :-D
The children refused to eat it until the sprouts (which, according to my daughter, were delicious, with cheese on top) were removed - but the children had to eat one each..
She has a different 'sprout surprise' lined up for this Christmas :-D

Elder daughter loves sprouts - younger daughter doesn't.

....as for the Teletubbies - how can they return when the government asks schools to check the size of pupils!!! :-(

It's her Father's fault, he pushes his around the plate until daughter pinches them..lolol

Oh and Kay, I don't know what you could possibly be referring to :-P

Sue, I have no idea where my daughter gets her evil ideas from :-)

Definitely best straight from the Field Bobtanian.
When I was an ag lab, I got told off for eating them as I was harvesting them.....

A local farm shop trialled sprouts dipped in chocolate and packed in presentation boxes. The following year they didn't bother ;-)

Thank you Det.....

Now if they concocted an advert where the child refused to eat sweets or drink some teeth rotting drink I'd be right behind them :-D

As a child I detested vegetables.

Cooked vegetables! In those days, everything was boiled into mush.

But....... I loved raw vegetables........ everything except raw potatoes (but I did try them!)

I begged & pleaded with my mother to have my veggies raw, but she always said.....

"NO, it's too much bother" :-S

I still can't work out how it was a bother.
