I haven't even got ready to go for coffee with friends as I feel even lazier today than I did yesterday.

I'm still sitting at the kitchen table with jammies on where I've been doing puzzles from the papers while having my brekkies ..... and now 'A Man for all Seasons' is on telly so I'll watch it here as the telly's so close to the kitchen table that I don't need my specs on to watch it. :-S

Morning Mersey <3 Barbs <3 Fly <3 JoyLouise <3 I hope you all enjoyed what you were doing on Boxing Day and that you are now looking forward to welcoming in the New Year when it arrives :-) likewise anyone else who pops in today <3

The forecast for my corner of Kent is for a very cloudy day with some outbreaks of rain or drizzle :-) but this will peter out during the afternoon with it becoming mainly dry by the end of the day :-) and with the temperature here hovering at about 55°F :-) it should feel mild again today :-)

And remember nothing in life should be taken for granted :-) we are living in very disturbing and uncertain times and the phrase "There but for the grace of God go I" will have been in the thoughts of many following the various violent incidents that have taken place this year :-) well that phrase is certainly in my thoughts at the moment because yesterday armed police were called to an incident in The Intu (Glades) Shopping Centre in Bromley after reports of a man wielding a 2ft long machete and a gang of youths with knives :-( this is large shopping mall in the centre of Bromley just a few miles from me which would have been packed to the gunnels and normally on Boxing Day I would have been in that mall beep beeping around on my mobility scooter ;-) checking out what was on offer in the sales ;-) but due to the miserable weather I decided to stay at home :-)

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-35183580

So whatever you will be doing and wherever you are or wherever you may be going ;-) be vigilant :-) stay safe :-) take care :-) keep warm :-) and enjoy your day ;-) and don't forget to smile :-)

<3 I hope everyone has a nice relaxing and enjoyable Sunday <3

No Fly. In walking distance, I meet three friends every Friday morning and occasionally my sister joins us.

Also in walking distance, I meet a friend I've known for almost 50 years most Tuesday mornings (she's the almost-80 year old who inspires me to keep fit and get moving).

On Sunday morning the Friday three always meet and most times I join them, occasionally with hubby.

The Friday three meet almost every morning so I join them sometimes on Mondays and Thursdays. Also, a group of retired colleagues meet once a month for coffee and about once a month I meet a cousin for lunch and a friend for lunch.

I used to do voluntary work for three bodies but this year I've let one drop and I'm thinking of dropping another so I can give more time to the remaining one as its volunteers are, in the main, as old or older than I am and some are finding it increasingly difficult to get around.

It sounds as though I am always out but I'm not 'cos, believe me, I can sit for England when I feel like it.

:-D
