sounds very tempting GP

Good afternoon everyone, it is bitterly cold here but no snow.

Just been to buy our second early potatoes from a local garden centre that has potato weekend. Not a garden centre we go to often because it is quite a small one but have made a mental note to go back in the summer, or warmer time. They have a charity there called the butterfly garden, Young people mostly who are disadvantaged in any way, disabled etc go to 'help' with the butterflies. so there were a couple of areas selling things to support the butterfly garden. We don't grow many potatoes so just bought 3 tubers each of four different varieties but it was fascinating to see how many varieties there were, I didn't count but way over 100 different, including some rather weird coloured ones, purple etc. can't imagine eating purple mashed potatoes can you? (also bought a book, a pack of dinosaurs and one of the photo 'things' that you plug in a USB to see photos displayed, for the charity). We did have a cup of coffee but weren't impressed with that, cheap instant in paper cups. still it was hot and cheap. It is sooo cold out there though so we were glad to get home. Still, no snow so we are grateful for small mercies. I think we shall stay in the warm for the rest of the day. :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

I am, Emma. Just doing a crossword at the moment but thinking of making a butty and putting kettle on. Hubby is on the computer so he's occupied for the time being.

He came down in the latest gear earlier - a pair of jeans with a slit in one knee and above the other. :-S.

I commented that he was going to be the oldest trendy around until he said he hadn't bought them like that :-D He was dressed in old clothes to do a repair job :-D

Emma, he hasn't a clue and doesn't care about fashion. :-S

Many years ago our son quickly grew out of an expensive pair of CK jeans, still in good nick, so he passed them on to K. Oz and I came home and, looking out of the kitchen window, asked what Dad was wearing. He was gardening and in a fairly dirty state. - wearing the jeans. When we asked him what was wrong with his old gear, his response was a pair of jeans is a pair of jeans, ideal for working in. :-S

He's very old school :-0 :-D

It's still here too Lyn. Exactly as GP described it. :-)

It sounds as though it was very comfortable at the place you stayed in at Brighton. :-)

Hya Joy :-D :-D <3 <3 - It certainly was a smashing place to stay, and the owners had thought of everything you might need, including bread, butter, milk, tea and coffee. :-D

I looked to see how many bookings they have for this year, and it's totally booked up, apart from at Christmas! :-0
