Bob ~ I saw that story about the bread.

What sort of mind thinks of doing something like that? The thought of it made me feel quite ill.

:-(

I'm glad I haven't felt the need to paint my face for years Scozz :-0

Cosmetic companies use placenta....... probably NOT human.

You'd be shocked if you knew what you put on your face & body.

Fish scales are often in lipstick.

I think anybody would struggle to eat a whole placenta in the wild, it would fill half a washing-up bowl as I seem to remember! :-D

If you only knew what mish-mash gets thrown into the mix known as 'pig swill', I suspect many of you would give up your favourite fry-up immediately. :-D

I don't know whether I have posted about this before, but last month there was an article in the paper (no, not the Sun) about a woman making sourdough bread using yeast from an infection.... no never mind, I haven't had my dinner yet.

It is the natural thing to do in the wild, not that Colleen Rooney is in the wild, but there are nutrients in the placenta that help the mother recover and the smell of a placenta would alert any predator to there being a baby or weakened female available to hunt.

Exactly IGP.

I spotted the thread heading last night and expected the delicate finger to report it.
Full of surprises.

I would of donated it to children with leukaemia
they can use the stem cells to help cure it sometimes :-D

Good advertising for the company who manufacture the pills, the cynical part of me wonders if she is being paid?

No need for this in 2016, our diet is better and nutrition is understood.

Just my opinion.

shouldn't think it was hers, that would've gone off long ago,

more like it belonged to her baby.........??

maggiewinchester Report 27 Jan 2016 10:23

It's only a piece of offal!!
When I had my babies, the thought didn't occur to me to ask a nurse to put the placenta in the fridge for later :-S
