Not had much time to post the last week or so ( researching the impossible and visits etc) but I did want to tell you about my cat's brush with death and the loss of one of his 9 lives. It's ok it doesn't have a sad ending but it might be a timely warning to those of you who have curious cats. |

Oh Rambling Rose, how frightening . I have to make sure my washing machine door is closed before youngest grandchild comes to see us, he is only 10 months old and tries to climb in , he is fascinated by them. |

One of mine liked getting in the washing machine too. Fortunately, the first time she did it, I actually saw her get in, just as I was about to close the door, and 'snuggle down' amongst the dirty sheets!! |

Oh frightening (for both of you) Rose. I have passed this on to daughter, owner of very nosey cat who always liked to climb into things. I supoose it would be the same with the tumble drier. Glad Spike is ok anyway |

I don't use fabric conditioner since the time when one particular type nearly stopped me breathing when I used it on my duvet, but next door do and you can't be outside or have the window open with it :-( I think because they smoke they don't realise how strong the smell is. |

I asked my mate to get me a chicken. He brought it round when I was upstairs. I shouted out "Put it in the freezer". Next time I looked it had frozen to death. |

That's not true, by the way. It's a joke. |
