Anybody use it? If so are you aware that google is stopping supporting it from March? |

They announced that 2 weeks ago. PIcassa is being supplanted by Google Photos. However it will still work fine on local machines running Windows/Android. It has always been a mess on linux. Those most impacted are those using albums. |

Yes I know, however when you get to my age and have been using something like picassa for years it is a bit daunting to think of having to change. I used to like photosuite and that disappeared. Not sure I fancie google photos ( or whatever). I do have Coral but it is not a particularly easy programme. I have hundreds of photos on picassa, (they are mostly all backed up/saved on disc). |

Can you transfer photos direct from Picasa to flickr? |

Thank you Rollo I will look into that one. Is it a free programme? |

I note that Flickr is a Yahoo site, would that be any better than going with the google photo site? |

Are we likely to lose any photos from Picassa? |

OK I have had a good look and registered and got my photos backed up on Flickr. But I have also registered and explored Windows live photos. The latter is a bit more basic, like Picasa so I will use that but I will also use Flickr as I see windows live photos will transfer photos to flickr which has a slightly more comprehensive editing programme. sorted I hope! |
