I have never taken morphine but I do know a couple of people who have. One had no problems, the other suffered confusion and hallucinations. So best to refer back to his doctor. |

Morphine can, also dehydration and urinary tract infection so needs looking into by the Dr. |

I think you have to take into account that he is probably a bit traumatised by the fall and stay in hospital as well as being in pain. |

Have spoken to the doc and hubby is now on antibiotics and steroids. She said the chest infection could be causing the confusion. A dear friend of ours said her husband who is disabled after a stroke gets very confused when he has a chest infection so between them I feel a bit better about it all. |

In the elderly its suprising how quickly a trauma can result in a chest infection ,its because the sudden rise then drop in body temp due to the fall,,,,,,,,,morphine has many different effects on people and the aged even more so.......it was possibly the onset of the chest infection that caused the fall hence the confusion. |
