A couple of Christmases ago I got a sealed pack of mixed-coloured carrots from Sainsbury as a novelty. They all tasted the same to me so maybe it's the way they were cooked that made the taste different from your usual carrot, Polly? |

Black carrots are infact purple,some varieties are darker than others and are purple all through,,,,,,,they are grown on our allotments purley for showing,as are purple sprouts and rainbow pak choi.....yellow,green and red. |
