I remember being in scotland one Easter and being surprised that the shops were open easter sunday. Your bank holidays are different to ours I think joan, so you don't have Easter Monday as a bank holiday? |

Ours isn't too bad a few shoppers in and they'd be stocking shelves anyway so why not let people shop....always handy at midnight as Hubby comes home to pop in and get milk etc. |

I've got used to 24/7 shopping too though most of our big shops closed yesterday. Places like the drug store still opened but had areas taped off, lets hope no one needed make up ! |

I would find it extremely difficult to be somewhere where shops were not open, after over 25 years of 7 day shopping, and late nights as well. I'm spoiled ....... although we don't take advantage of late hours either .............. it's the thought that we can get food or over-the-counter pharmacy things if we need. |

Yes, small shops can open. We haven't ventured out. OH spent all morning in the garden, came in for his lunch about two when the heavens opened, now the sun is shining again. |

Those of you who often shop on Sundays. Get your food in today, don't forget all shops will be closed tomorrow. :-) :-) Or, time to use up what you have in the cupboard/freezer!!! |
