Guinevere

Guinevere Report 19 Apr 2016 13:22

Awful man. *shudder*

JoyBoroAngel

JoyBoroAngel Report 19 Apr 2016 13:23

Maybe they will lift the ban on his book
And we will finally get to read it :-D :-D

Guinevere

Guinevere Report 19 Apr 2016 13:32

I shouldn't bother, Joy, unless you're a fan of self-pitying badly written fiction.

JoyBoroAngel

JoyBoroAngel Report 19 Apr 2016 13:38

Well it cant be any worse than Kates book

I don't like things been banned
I like to make my own mind up :-D :-D

supercrutch

supercrutch Report 19 Apr 2016 13:44

I have read his book and I also read Pat Brown's before Amazon banned it.

I am very pleased he got the justice he deserved, although his reputation will still be sullied in the UK.

JoyBoroAngel Report 19 Apr 2016 14:01

I am looking forward to making my own mind up Sue :-D :-D

supercrutch

supercrutch Report 19 Apr 2016 14:04

Best way Joy, it's available on line and always has been ;-) Pat Brown's is like finding the holy grail but I got it as soon as available thank goodness.

StrayKitten

StrayKitten Report 19 Apr 2016 14:04

I think it's a step in the right direction ;-)

Guinevere

Guinevere Report 19 Apr 2016 14:05

Exactly what I did, important to read both sides, obviously. As I said - an awful man.

supercrutch

supercrutch Report 19 Apr 2016 14:23

Why is he awful? He made some mistakes whilst his hands were tied but only by publishing his book could he try and rescue his reputation.

Guinevere

Guinevere Report 19 Apr 2016 14:36

I have contempt for any former officer of the law who attempts to cash in when they leave the force under a cloud. I have even more contempt for those who lie and attempt self-justification for their messes.

JoyBoroAngel

JoyBoroAngel Report 19 Apr 2016 14:37

I bought Kates book at a boot sale for 50p
By the end of the first few chapters
I realised
I had been done :-(
I started the book believing them
then by half way through
I Had sadly changed my mind :-(
and doubts had well set in my mind :-(

I have read many books by ex Policemen
writing about many different cases they had worked on :-D

supercrutch

supercrutch Report 19 Apr 2016 14:57

He had no choice but to put his version of the events into the public domain. Everyone else had been Carter Rucked! which cost £ms (out of the fund BTW).

Plus he repeated what the UK police investigating had theorised, their case against him was absolutely ludicrous (to use the pink shirted one's phrase) :-D

They acted illegally in seizing his books and didn't return them when ordered to so they sued. Nothing wrong with that is there?

JoyBoroAngel

JoyBoroAngel Report 19 Apr 2016 15:04

I wonder if the McCann's
would of sued if they where using their own money
and not the money from the Find Maddie fund ;-) ;-)

Guinevere

Guinevere Report 19 Apr 2016 15:25

Do you have any evidence of that, Joy? Maybe you could quote your source.

JoyBoroAngel

JoyBoroAngel Report 19 Apr 2016 15:29

I have read all the court cases
have been paid for from the fund

and today the costs went against the McCann's

You could google it if you like
i am sure it wont take long to find yourself ;-) ;-) ;-)

Guinevere

Guinevere Report 19 Apr 2016 15:32

I have googled and can't find any evidence that they used the funds to sue, that's why I asked you to name the source. ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)
