I'm with you Barb.

Gin, vodka, martini or a lovely long Pimms on a summer's day. Winter Pimms and mulled wine too on a cold day. :-D

I don't understand the obssesion these days with wine (most of it is naff) and cake - not necessarily together but often by the same type of person. ;-)

The last time I had red wine was a couple of glasses before my sons Christening. I don't even know why I drank it. :-S

Possibly the only way I'd like wine (apart from mulled) would be too eat Madeira cake dipped in it. :-D :-D :-D

Any wine that's cool/cold and without spices tastes revolting to me. :-(

No comments like the more you pay, the better it is, please, because, I don't believe it - not that I'd dream of paying hundreds of pounds for a bottle but I have been given wine costing up to a hundred and thought it was an utter waste of money.

Having said that, each to his own and that is something I do understand. :-D

Real ale - yuk. Any beer, lager etc is, for me, tastes as bad as wine. :-(
