Jem, my older grandson (still at school and younger than yours) is always getting football injuries. He's just got the plaster off from a broken elbow and only before Christmas he was an emergency blue light case because of footy.

I stopped mentioning about being careful when most of my family said these things happen in hard tackles and he, himself, refuses to quit. :-0

I hope your grandson has a speedy recovery and takes heed of what you say. :-)

Just sitting at the kitchen table having a coffee and through the open door I got a beautiful scent from the wisteria .

The young un's gone home but I am a wounded soldier - jarred my little finger being in goal. It's really not bad but I made the most of my footy injury and said I needed to recover with a cuppa. :-D

It's been an absolutely cracking day here and still is.

JL - The Matron was just saying to me this morning, what a lovely day it is and if you wish you may venture out into the big world but return no later than 7pm or you will be sent to Durham Prison. :-0 :-0 :-0 ;-) ;-) ;-)

JL - I had lunch out today and I visited LAU's 202 in Newcastle for a Chinese banquet and it was absolutely gorgeous (£9.50). I started with Mussels in black bean sauce then I went through the whole menu just about and finished with an ice-cream with peaches and tangerines. mmmmm!!!!!

I have been there with family (though not this year), GP, and thoroughly enjoyed it too.

I like mussels - licks lips. Yum. :-D :-D

JL -My daughter and her friends have been there for the Evening Banquet and she said it is fantastic. I hope to try it sometime if the Matron lets me out. ;-) ;-) :-D :-D
