You know, the one about inviting my friend round for tea.

We are having spaghetti.

'Sic transit Gloria mundi'

Are you having sauce with the spaghetti? :-D :-D

Sharron

Sharron Report 1 Sep 2016 12:09

Well, yes. Spaghetti would be very dull without a sauce.

Because I am a vegetarian, I make bognaise sauce with Quorn mimce, onions, garlic, red wine, green Oxos and a bit of Worcester. Sometimes, if I am really being extravagant or there are some that need using up, I will put sliced mushrooms in as well.

Now, there's contention if ever I saw it!

Allan

Allan Report 1 Sep 2016 12:20

That actually sounds very nice, Sharron :-)

Caroline

Caroline Report 1 Sep 2016 12:23

Oh I take offence at the mushrooms sorry Sharron !!

Allan

Allan Report 1 Sep 2016 12:27

How can you take offence at the mushrooms?

They are real fun guys :-D :-D

Caroline

Caroline Report 1 Sep 2016 12:28

Hey like the RR and Genes I don't need to justify my stance :)

Caroline

Caroline Report 1 Sep 2016 12:28

Island Report 1 Sep 2016 12:30

Sounds very tasty :-D

Sharron

Sharron Report 1 Sep 2016 12:33

I will make the sauce nice and sloppy, the better to enjoy watching our odd friend eat it.

AND I WILL USE MUSHROOMS IF I WANT TO

I might even go and buy some different ones just out of defiance!

Allan

Allan Report 1 Sep 2016 12:36

Island Report 1 Sep 2016 12:38

I trust your guest is in on the joke and puts on a good show for you?

Sharron

Sharron Report 1 Sep 2016 12:44

Well, no, but he puts on a good show anyway!

It just enhances the show of talking while he has his mouth full and discussing his and his cats bowel movements over dinner.

He will go anywhere and do anything for free food so we feel it is worth using him as free cabaret.

Caroline

Caroline Report 1 Sep 2016 12:44

Oh okay then if you insist Sharron, just don't pick your mushrooms in the New Forest

Sharron

Sharron Report 1 Sep 2016 12:50

Oh alright then, I'll get them down the Co-op!

I suppose, if I was a bit energetic, I could go out round the back field and see what I could see.

Island

Island Report 1 Sep 2016 12:52

I feel sick now :-(

Sharron

Sharron Report 1 Sep 2016 12:57

We usually do as well.

Island

Island Report 1 Sep 2016 13:00

Yes but you call it entertainment :-0

Sharron

Sharron Report 1 Sep 2016 13:03

No, we call it exploitation. He has made me a new window sill, cleared my shed, built numerous flat-pack items for us, painted, varnished, made things.

He has also told people my house is infested with rats but nobody takes any notice of his bullshine anyway.

Did I try at any point to give the impression that he was in any way normal.

Caroline

Caroline Report 1 Sep 2016 13:12

In that case he deserves mushrooms !
