I am not far from Havant but did not know about that tea shop. In fact, I would not even have thought about going into Havant for a cup of tea.

what little gems are around the corner.
Our Daughter took her MIL there for her 70th birthday,
so that's where I heard it from.
Not that I'm any where near Havant either.

I think a lot of 1940's themed cafes are popping up these days. There is one on the sea front at Seaton Carew called Glady's which is full of wartime memorabilia. They do afternoon teas but I haven't tried them yet.

If your daughter lives around this way sh might like to try visiting The Old Forge at Slindon.

It is the old backsmith's workshop (well, yes, it would be!). When he retired the village turned it into a community shop with an excellent tea-room at the back.

They makw almost everything and it is all pretty reasonably priced too.

Her Parents in law live in Hayling island
and they don't travel well these days.
