Thank you everyone for your kind messages of sympathy and support.

Some of you know that our family have had some tough times in recent months, as cancer took more control over my husband's body, but firm family bonds between our 3 great children and fine grandson have helped us cope, supported by many loyal friends, both local and worldwide.

Yesterday, at the funeral, we were surrounded by so many caring people and we had asked them to share special remembrances of happy days in a memory book. We will enjoy reading them. I bet many will cause a smile.

Nothing will ever be the same without him, but we have so many special memories to look back on,I'm sure they'll help in the days ahead.

Dear Gwyn, I am so sorry to know of your sad loss and of the difficult time Dave had. My heart goes out to you both and of course, to all your family and friends too.

I always think of you when I see my Daphnias flower, and remember time spent with you and Dave at Jules' wedding here in Norfolk.

Rest in peace, Dave, life's work well done.

Enjoy the stories in the memory book, Gwyn, and don't be afraid to ask for help if you need it. I know you will have lots of love surrounding you.
